Saturday Rehearsal

I'm going to combine yesterdays blog and today's blog.  I was so busy yesterday that I didn't even have to to sleep during the day.

So Friday, my friend Demoura did hair and make up for a fashion show.  So me, my friend and my girls went to the show.  The models were...  um..  different.  Volunteers apparently, I applaud them for their fearlessness.  The plus side, they all had fabulous hair!  De did a great job!!  After a few too many wines for the Demoura, we decided it was time to go home at 11.  Well, Kim and Santana wanted McDonalds.  So here's the four of us, dressed to the nine's, going to crack haven Mickey D's on 8th avenue.  It was an adventure.

We walked in and there were two guys and a girl - the guys were stuffing their faces as fast as they could while the girl recorded them.  Next vision, a person slumped over the table, NOT moving.  We ordered our food, they have the best french fries for dinner at midnight!!  The slumped over lady was still slumped over and I was starting to worry that she was dead.  But then, her head showed signs of movement and wow, she woke up.  She stumbled over to the counter ordered something else, ate it and left.

Then, the next woman came in who was so tripping on crack or something...  Her pants were five sizes too big, and Demoura was asking her how come she was holding her pants, they look a little big for you, do you need a belt?  hahahah  none of us had a belt, or we probably would have given it to her.

Some guy came in a puffy vest with a zillion different colours on it.  Demoura thought that was pretty funny too.

So after safely driving De home, we got home and went to bed.  What an awesome night we had.  Good times good times!!

I think we slept at around 2 and I was up at 730 to get ready to photograph the Youth Chorus rehearsal.  We were a tad late, but I think it was ok.  This was the coolest thing I have been to in a very long time.  I was so impressed with the kids, and the choreographers were amazing!  How they envision the dance moves to the music is beyond me.  To see the song come together with all the moves.  The dedication by the kids to keep going and going.  12 hours with a one hour break for lunch and another break for dinner.  They learned five dances.  Totally impressed!!

Sunday, I'm wiped!!!  But the kids are at it again for another 7 hour rehearsal on their music side.  Good things these weekend camps are only one weekend a month.

There are still some great teenagers out there!  I'm happy I have one of them.
