I lost my monkeys
I'm sorry, but today's blog is going back to Monday. I forgot! (Alzheimers???) I got on the bus in the morning, and took my monkey gloves off, and got off the bus, walked to the train station, got on the platform and the bus drove away just as I realized my hands were monkey bare! I was heartbroken. I had just bought them, and they were so so cute!! I hummed and hawed and maybe the bus driver went through the bus and saw them. Maybe a customer returned them. Maybe a kid found them and liked them as much as me!! My thoughts were filled with the loss of my monkey all day Monday.
Now, here comes Tuesday morning, and I'm looking forward to my trip to see if my monkey's are on the bus... I eagerly wait, the bus is coming, I see it! I'm holding my breath, she stops in front of me and the doors swoosh open. I let the other riders on first. I approach the bus driver and ask her if I left my monkey gloves on the bus and she said YES. I was so relieved. I now have to wait a couple of days for them to be at the lost and found, and my monkeys will be home again.
Now I can focus on the rest of the day.
Kim spoke with her ex yesterday, and he indicated he was a fool, idiot stupid dumb... I could think of more words, but I won't, for letting Kim slip away. She called me because she was upset - didn't know what to think. Just as she was getting over him, he starts popping back. Wanting to talk to someone, other than mom, she called Maddie. Maddie and Kim had a falling out a few months ago, but as true friends go, they will always be there for each other when they need it. Maddie had a birthday card for Kim, and a letter she was going to mail. It is actually pretty cute. So these two make up and Maddie is here for the night.
I went shopping after work, bought a pair of winter boots for me and for Kim. Sportchek had them 50% off, so I did good!
I invited the boyfriend to dinner, thought it would be nice. We went to the food court and ordered what he wanted, but he still won't eat the fast foods like we do, so I bought him a dinner - that he didn't eat! Sometimes I wish we could talk more. I was looking forward to a little time together, but when he met me at the mall, we hardly talked at all. I sometimes feel quite empty inside. I seem to be alone even though we are together. I miss having a solid conversation with a man.
I submitted some photos to be given to work's united way auction that is being held on Thursday. Nothing like waiting til the last minute to participate - I've only had over a month to prepare... typical - I think my middle name is Procrastinate. They were ready before 10 pm when the store closed, but due to Kim being a little later in picking us up from the mall, the store closed before we got there. Now, I have to rely on Kim to run some errands for me. Crazy! Why do I leave things to the very last minute... (I think I like the feeling if the truth must be known)
Tune in tomorrow to see if Kim came through!! :D
